Betty Graves of Trumann departed this life Monday, September 14, 2026 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, AR at the age 82 years, 8 months and 2 days. She was born Wednesday, January 12, 1944 in Okean, AR to the late John Thomas and Louise Broadway Cook and was a lifetime resident of Trumann. Betty retired from Parker Hannifin and was a member of Michiana Christian Community Church. She loved to embroidery and shopping. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ed Barnes and Clyde Graves; one daughter, Sherry Lapiro; one son, Joey Barnes; two sisters, Alma Chapman and Mary Olson; and three brothers, Earl Cook, Elbert Cook and Lonnie Cook. She is survived by two sons, Timmy (Donna) Caraver of Osceola, IN and Clyde (Melissa) Graves of Mt. Vernon, IN; two daughters, Beverly Pitts of Trumann and Donna Maggart of Osceola, IN; one sister, Bonnie Williams of Mt. View, AR; 18 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 16th from 5:00 pm until 7:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. with Candis L. Oswalt officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery in Harrisburg, AR. Active pallbearers will be Gavin Burnett, Dyson Burnett, Brooklyn Hamilton, Shawn Winkles, Joseph Barnes and Amanda Ward.
