Michael "Mike" Aaron Stephens

Michael “Mike” Aaron Stephens 48, of Jonesboro, AR departed this life July 1, 2026 at the family residence. He was born July 19, 1977 in Jonesboro to Robert and Mell Herring Stephens. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a 1996 graduate of Jonesboro High School and owner of MAS Construction. He loved the outdoors, going to the lake, hunting, riding dirt bikes with his longtime friends Michael Ligons and Mark Sparks and working with Westside Youth Sports. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Alyssa Stephens of the home; son, Tinsley Stephens, two daughters, Ruby Stephens and Lucy Stephens, all of the home; his parents, two brothers Robert (Beth) Stephens of Anthem, AZ and John (Rachel) Stephens of Kaysville, UT; and two sisters, Stephanie (Robbie) Sallings of Fayetteville, AR and Katherine (Ben) Jones, of Brentwood, TN. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 7th from 5:00 - 6:00 P.M in the Roller Farmers Union Chapel at 1900 W. Washington in Jonesboro. A Celebration of life will follow at 6:00 P.M. with Elder Brent Rougeau officiating. Committal Service will be Wednesday morning at 10:00 A.M. at Trinity Cemetery in Bono under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann. Pallbearers are John Paul Thompson, Foxx Thompson, Michael Ligons, Mark Sparks, Eric Woods, Aaron Caples, Barrett Pugh and Ron Rich. Honorary Pallbearers are Robert Stephens, John Stephens, Charles Tinsley, Gene Vance, Dr. Carroll Scroggin, Mark Fowler, Blake Mesenbrink and Gary Meeker. In lieu of flowers lasting memorials can be made to the NEA Baptist Fowler Family Cancer Center 4808 E. Johnson Ave. Jonesboro, AR 72472 or the Westside Youth Sports Program.
