Dwight Cash Criss, Jr.

Dwight Cash “Snooks” Criss, Jr., of Trumann, departed this life on Saturday June 6, 2026, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro at the age of 80 years, 3 months and 26 days. He was born in and a lifetime resident of Trumann. Dwight was a farmer and self-employed home builder with Criss Construction and a former deacon of the First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dwight C. Criss, Sr., and Flossie Pauline Whitlatch Criss, two sisters, Verna Grace Criss and Nancy Lafarlette. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ann Williams Criss of the home, one daughter, Michelle Criss of Trumann, one son Jeffrey Criss of Bay, two grandchildren, Dillon Blagg and Craig Criss and one great-granddaughter, Addison Blagg, one brother, Rev. Doug Criss of Fayetteville, AR., and one sister, Ada Lou Terry of Trumann. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 13th from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. A celebration of life will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Dr. John Maley officiating. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 575, Trumann, AR 72472.
