Obituary
Rev. Nathan Russell of Trumann departed this life on Saturday, March 7, 2026 in Trumann. He was born May 29, 1954 in Kansas City, KS to the late Hubert and Lottie Carpenter Russell and lived most of his lifetime in Trumann at the age of 71 years, 9 months and 7 days. He was a truck driver, and he preached at Hwy Valley Church for several years. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Christy Russell and one grandson, Jonathan Smith, 2 sisters, 6 brothers and his parents. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Brenda Russell of the home; two sons, Bobby (April) Russell, Sr. and Jackie Russell; two sisters, Vonda (Bobby) Taylor and Theresa (Donald) Ealey; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 11th from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:30 in the chapel with Nicky Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Jonesboro, AR. Pallbearers will be Bobby Russell, Jr., Jake Pierce, Daniel Tucker, Dale Cooper, Larry Wheeler, Keith Blasingame, Mark Oldman and Calvin Gann. Honorary pallbearers are John Oldman and Tony Hicks.
