Audrey Mildred Kelso
May 13, 1917 - September 13, 2009

Mrs. Audrey Mildred Kelso was born on May 13, 1917, daughter of the late Samuel L. and Nettie Matthews Martin. Mrs. Kelso died on Sunday, September 13, 2009 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark., at the age of 92 years and 4 months. She was born in West Plains, Mo., and had lived most of her lifetime in Trumann. She was a retired cafeteria worker for the Trumann Public School and a member of the Trumann Revival Center. Mrs. Kelso was preceded in death by her husband, Finis Kelso, Sr., one, son, Rev. Jimmy Lee Kelso, granddaughter, Stephanie Burgess, four brothers, three sisters and her parents. Survivors include one daughter, Andrea Hopkins of Trumann; six sons, Wayne Kelso and Keith Kelso both of Jonesboro, Jerry Kelso of Marion, Gary Kelso and Michael Kelso both of Trumann and Finis Kelso Jr. of West Plains, Mo.; 15 grandchildren, Doug Kelso, Ken Kelso, Shari Doty, Allen Kelso, Pam Dixon, Lori Spray, Bryan Kelso, Leah Hazelwood, Scott Hopkins, Miranda Muntz, Halston Kelso, Austin Kelso, Breanna Kelso, Drew Kelso and Kara Kelso and 21 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, with Rev's Frankie Hardwick and Dub Holt officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark. Active pallbearers will be the sons. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. An online register can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net.
