Richard Oneal Witt
August 30, 1934 - June 26, 2010

Mr. Richard Oneal Witt was born on Thursday, August 30, 1934, son of the late Lucien and Lilla Beard Witt. He died on Saturday, June 26, 2010, at the family residence, at the age of 75 years 9 months and 27 days. Mr. Witt was born in Tupelo, MS, had lived in Trumann for the past 50 years, and was formerly of Harrisburg. He was as an Assembly worker at Roach Manufacturing and a member of the First Baptist Church in Trumann. Mr. Witt was preceded in death by one son, Richard Lynn Witt who died in 2000; one brother, Billy Witt, and his parents, Lucien and Lilla Beard Witt. Survivors include his wife, Betty Jo Witt of the home; one son, Michael L. Witt of Jonesboro; one daughter, Rita J. Tosh of Jonesboro; one brother, Ricky Witt of Harrisburg; three sisters, LaNell King, Catherine Cole, and Linda Witt all of Harrisburg; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Wednesday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Dr. Tad Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark. Active Pallbearers will be George Wood, Joe Underwood, Jimmy Allen, Jerry Hollihan, Charles Stephan, and James Ruffin. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:00 noon until time of service at Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church P.O. Box 575 Trumann, Ark.
