Few people are remembered over the decades by those who shared their teens with them. Carlton Ballard was one of those people whose memory lives strong, even now, as a dear friend who always had an ear to hear your worries, listening and offering comfort to ease your burdens. My sister Stella Rose O'hara, and I will always be grateful for Carlton for being one of those who will have a place in our hearts for being just what Carlton was - a caring and concerned friend. May you rest in peace, Carlton, and may your family and friends always remember you for the smiles and laughter you gave them, and the burdens you made lighter that others had to carry.
