Ollie Samuel Byram
August 8, 1930 - December 28, 2010

Mr. Ollie Samuel Byram was born on Friday, August 8, 1930, son of the late Samuel and Cora Brown Byram. He died Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Trumann Health and Rehab in Trumann, Ark., at the age of 80 years 4 months and 20 days. He was born in Union, MS, and had lived in Trumann for the past 59 years. Mr. Byram was retired from the Singer Company and Price Chopper and was a member of Lake City Pentecostal Church. He was preceded in death by five sisters, three brothers, and his parents. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Irene Byram of the home; one son, David Wayne Byram of Jonesboro, Ark.; one sister, Lavada Howard of Santa Maria, CA; four grandchildren, Christopher Byram, Michael Byram, Laura MontesDeOca, and Melissa Thomas; 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. Funeral service will be Thursday afternoon at l:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Bro. Harold Anderson and Bro. Tony McCall officiating. Burial will follow in Nettleton Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark. Active pallbearers will be Frank Fore, Lonnie Garrett, Bobby Byram, Bobby Alred, Dillion Byram, and Cody Byram. Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home. An online guest book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net.

    sorry to hear about Ollie he was a great friend to the Banks family my mother Patsy worked with him at pricechopper in trumann and everytime we seen him he would say hi and how are ya doing today. We will keep the family in our prayers.

    I worked with Ollie in the mid 1980's at Arbor. He was a fine Christian man who I thought alot of, his lighthearted sense of humor and Christian values was a great example that we can all live by.
