Miss Edith Halsey
November 23, 1951 - February 19, 2011

Miss Edith Halsey was born on Friday, November 23, 1951, daughter of the late Victor and Myrtle Laforce Halsey. Miss Halsey died Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Ark., at the age of 59 years 2 months and 27 days. She was born in Jonesboro, Ark., and had lived in Trumann for the past 35 years and was formerly of Lake City. Miss Halsey was a former employee of the Salant and Salant Company, G & K Linen Service and a member of the Elm Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Orville and Harold Halsey. Survivors include two sisters, Jewell Gee and Alice (Harold) Williams both of Trumann; one brother, Wayne Halsey of Trumann; two special friends, Tina Blagg and Judy Ingram both of Trumann; and several nieces great-nieces, nephews and great nephews. Funeral service will be Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, with Rev. W.C.
