Rory E. McDaniel
July 11, 1961 - March 29, 2011

Mr. Rory Edward McDaniel was born on Tuesday, July 11, 1961, son of the late Gordon and Helen Battles McDaniel. He died Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at the family residence, at the age of 49 years 8 months and 18 days. Mr. McDaniel was born in Tampa, FL, and had lived most of his lifetime in Trumann. He was a Welder and a 1980 graduate of Trumann High School. Mr. McDaniel was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Cortney McDaniel and his parents. Survivors include his wife, Amanda Ragland McDaniel of the home; two sons, Jacob McDaniel and Kyle Bryant both of Trumann; one brother, Marty McDaniel of Trumann; and one grandson, Ayden Bryant. Funeral service will be Thursday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Guy McMahan officiating. Burial will be private in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark. Active pallbearers will be Kelly Morgan, Ryan McDaniel, Seth McDaniel, Kyle Bryant, Coty Manley, and Chris Manley. Visitation will be Thursday from 12:00 noon until time of service at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. An online guest book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net.
