The Bible says there is no greater love than a man sacrifice his life for his friends. Each year, law enforcement officers make that ultimate sacrifice — when they give of their life doing their duty.Police officers everyday are faced with the possibility of not returning home, but yet they continuously put the badge and gun on and take on that task making sure that you are safe. Police officers face that possibility of paying the ultimate sacrifice every time they stop a car or go on that unknown 911 call. Sadly, it takes a incident like the one this week to remind us all not to take our law enforcement officers for granted. They work to keep order, to save lives, to preserve society's very framework that we accept so casually.Thank you for your service and commitment to our community Officer Schmidt: you are a true hero.To the Schmidt family, Jonathan is a valiant hero to our country who has paid the ultimate sacrifice. His passing will never be in vain and you can be proud of the man he became. You are in our prayers. God Bless!
