Betty Sue Dodd
September 15, 1936 - April 16, 2011

Mrs. Betty Sue Richardson Dodd was born on Tuesday, September 15, 1936, daughter of the late Roy and Jewell Lydia May Richardson. She died Saturday April 16, 2011 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark., at the age of 74 years 7 months and 1 day. Mrs. Dodd was born in and a lifetime resident of Trumann. She was a retired factory worker and member of the Eastside Baptist Church in Trumann. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Roy E. (Red), Kenneth, Raymond (Corky) and Cecil B. (Jackie) Richardson; two sisters, Edith and Agnes Richardson and her parents. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Hamm and Pamela Sue Moss both of Jonesboro; three sons, Larry Moss of Jonesboro, Timmy Moss of Stockton, Calif., and JoJo Dodd of Trumann. 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Guy McMahan officiating. Burial will be private at Pine Hill Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark Pallbearers will be Drew Moss, R.J. Smith, T.J. Moss, Jeff Lafarlette, Leroy May, Danny Dodd, Jackie McHalffey, Roger McHalffey and J.J. McHalffey. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home. An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net.

    I worked with Betty years ago, when I would go to the nursing home she always had to give me a hig and a kiss I will miss here smile when I am out there visiting. She will be deeply missed. She was a great person.
