James H. Heath
April 18, 1927 - June 7, 2011

Mr. James Henry Heath was born on Monday, April 18, 1927 son of the late Walter and Maggie Barton Heath. He departed this life Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at the family residence at the age of 84 years 1 month and 20 days. He was born and had lived most of his lifetime in Trumann. Mr. Heath was a truck driver for the Singer Co., veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II and attended the First Assembly of God in Trumann. He was preceded in death by one sister, two brothers, and his parents. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Maudine Owens Heath of the home; two daughters, Barbara Phillip Crouch and husband John of Melbourne, Ark. and Margie Owens Dean and husband Tudd of Boone, NC; one brother, Earl Heath of Memphis, TN; three sisters, Ida Lee Prince, Mickey Stotts, and Sue Owens all of Trumann; 5 grandchildren, Harold, James Allen, and Robert Phillips, Carrie Heath Dean Trout and Tyler Dean; 3 great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews and a host of other friends and relatives. Funeral service will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Kenneth Doke and Jay Paul Woods officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark. Active pallbearers will be Donnie Prince, Jimmy Prince, Jimmy Stotts, Rodney Stotts, Gary Owens, and Jay Ryan Woods. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Sutton, Harold Phillips, John Crouch, and Tudd Dean. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home.
