Mrs. Laura Mae England was born on Saturday, September 3, 1927, daughter of the late Bernard and Olivia Posey Dunman. She died Monday, June 27, 2011 at Trumann Health & Rehab at the age of 83 years 9 months and 24 days. She was born in Madison County, Ala., and had lived most of her lifetime in Bay. Mrs. England was a Homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene England, two sisters, three brothers, and her parents. Survivors include two sons, Dwight England and wife Anita and Donnie England and wife Nancy all of Trumann; one brother, Bud Dunman of Greenbriar, Ark.; one sister, Betty Joyce Alexander of Cash, Ark.; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Wednesday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Gary Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark. Active pallbearers will be Lee Farnsworth, John Garrett, Joey Alexander, Lance England, Tim England, and Matthew England. Honorary pallbearer will be Chris England. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:00 noon until time of service at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net.
