Dixie June Roberts
December 17, 1938 - September 2, 2011

Mrs. Dixie June Roberts of Trumann was born on Saturday, December 17, 1938, daughter of the late Odus Henry and Florence Josephine Houston Terry. Mrs. Roberts died Friday, Sept. 2, 2011 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark., at the age of 72 years 8 months and 16 days. She was born in Harrisburg, Ark., and had lived most of her lifetime in Trumann. She was a sales representative for CenterPoint Energy, in 1980 was recognized as one of Arkansas Distinguished Sales Award honorees and member of the First Baptist Church in Trumann. Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, James Galen Roberts of the home, three brothers, Gene Terry of Trumann, Dean Terry of Harrisburg and David Terry of Las Vegas, NV., nieces and nephews, James (J.D.), Mary June, Dianna, Debbie, Danyell and Justin. Funeral service will be Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Dr. Tad Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. Active pallbearers will be Justin Terry, James Dean Terry, Ron Stockton, Bill Biggers, James Edward Spence, Laymon Moye, Wes Osment and Jimmy Allen.
