James Baker

Mr. James Baker was born on May 12, 1935 son of the late Allen E. and Dessie O. Barnes Baker. He died on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, Ark., the age of 76 years, 7 months, and 9 days. He was born in Jamestown, AR., and had lived in Trumann for the past 8 years and was formerly of Springfield, Mo. Mr. Baker managed a clothing store, veteran of the United States Air Force serving in Vietnam and of the Presbyterian faith. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Joy K. Cox Baker of the home, one daughter, Cathy R. Drew of Batesville, two sons, David A. Baker of Hennessee, Ark., and Donald E. Baker of Phoenix, Ariz., four step-daughters, C.K. Dale, Janie Amos, Jackie Lofton and Linda D. Church all of Springfield, Mo.; two step-sons, Ronald Church and Steve church both of Springfield, Mo. 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
