Mr. Michael Todd Matthews was born on Sunday, November 29, 1964, son of Billy Wayne Matthews and the late Sherry Ellen Clayton LeMay. He died Wednesday, January 25, 2012 in Trumann, Ark., at the age of 47 years 1 month and 27 days. He was born and lived most of his lifetime in Trumann,a construction worker and a member of the Maple Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Matthews was preceded in death by his mother. Survivors include his son, Justin Kace Matthews of Marion; his father and step-mother, Billy and Mary Ruth Matthews of Trumann; two sisters, Shannon Leigh Bruner and Misti Dawn Montgomery both of Trumann and one brother, Timothy Shane

    I have known Todd since he was a little baby. A beautiful baby he was too. Deb & I would fight to which one of us was going to hold him. We, Alice, Deb, and I have a very special memory of Todd, but I think that we will keep it our last funny memory of him. He was a great guy. He had his mom's sense of humor. He new how to take a joke. We will miss you but knowing you are with your sweet mom, grandma, and grandma Parker is comforting to me. I loved you and each of them as if they were my own. Grandma Parker was so smart, I would try & slip in and she would always say is that you Shelia? I would always say yeah it's me Granda. Rest in peace my sweet Todd. I loved you.

    I went to school with Todd in Marion and am so sorry to hear of his passing. Even though I haven't had contact with him over the years, I still remember that crazy boy and his mischievous smile. He made everyone laugh! Praying for a peace for your family that only our Lord can give.
