Eloise Nixon Everhart
June 13, 1927 - April 28, 2012

Mrs. Eloise Nixon Everhart, of Trumann died Saturday April 28, 2012 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, at the age of 84 years 10 months and 15 days. She was born Monday, June 13, 1927 in Cherry Valley, Ark., to the late Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Nixon. She lived most of her lifetime in Trumann was a homemaker and cook for the Trumann Lions Club for many years and of the Pentecostal faith. She was preceded in death by her husband James Henry Everhart, one sister, Wilma Ball and husband Johnny, two brothers, Milton Nixon and wife Edith and Gene Nixon and wife Edith and her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Marvin Nixon. Survivors include one son, Jimmie Everhart and wife Cathy of Trumann; two grandsons, Jimbo Everhart and wife Alicia and Josh Everhart and wife Katie both of Trumann; two great-grandchildren, Connor and Ava Claire Everhart; one half sister, Marvella Nixon of Cherry Valley and several nieces and nephews and friends. Funeral services will be Tuesday morning, May 1, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Ricky Forbis officiating. Burial will follow in the Tyronza Cemetery in Tyronza, Ark. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Everhart, Jonathan Martin, William Long, Nicky Rhodes, Jon Forbis and Gary Holmes. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net.

I always looked forward to having lunch at Lions Club when I worked at the Trumann Democrat because the food was always wonderful and I got to see Ms. Eloise. She was always a real sweetheart!
