Phyllis LaVonne Rousseau
January 22, 1934 - May 25, 2012

Mrs. Phyllis LaVonne Rousseau, of Trumann died Friday, May 25, 2012, at Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Ark., at the age of 78 years 4 months and 3 days. She was born Monday, January 22, 1934 in Boone Iowa to the late George Huxford and Gladys Lorene Bacon Williams. She was born with crippled hands and had many surgeries in Iowa City University Hospital. Mrs. Rousseau over came being handicapped as well as being paralyzed from the waist down with polio. Her faith in God pulled her through. She lived in Trumann since 1996 and was formerly of Iowa and IL. She was a retired L.P.N. and member of the Eastside Baptist Church. Mrs. Rousseau was preceded in death by her husband, Vaughn Rousseau, two brothers one sister and her parents, George Huxford and Gladys Lorene Bacon Williams. Survivors include two sons, Douglas Richard Morgan of Las Angeles, CA. and William Scott Morgan and wife Vickie of Trumann; four grandchildren, William Scott Morgan Jr., Dawn Ann Morgan and Michelle Marie Morgan all of Chicago, IL and Nathan Morgan of Las Angeles, CA Funeral service will be Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 pm in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, Ark., with Rev. Kenny McMahan officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland, Ark. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:00 noon until 1:30 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home Ark.
