Mrs. Shirley Nelldean Bryant, of Trumann died Sunday, September 2, 2012, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro at the age of 71 years, 9 months and 29 days. Mrs. Bryant was born on Monday, November 4, 1940, in Monette, Ark. to the late Paul W. and Tessie Layne Halsey, and had lived in Trumann most of her lifetime. She was a housewife and of Baptist faith. Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by her husband; Donald Eugene Bryant, one son; Donald Gene Bryant, and her parents. She is survived by one son; Ronald Bryant of Trumann, two daughters; Pam Phillips and Christy Bloodworth of Trumann; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren Funeral service will be Thursday, September 6, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. John Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann in charge. Pallbearers will be Bobby Kirkland, Ronald Bryant, Josh Kirkland, Keith Brewer, Brandon Hendrix and Calvin Hawkins. Visitation will be Wednesday at Thompson Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
