Say Brother,I only saw you every couple of years and yet you always went out of your way to make me feel welcome. Thanks for the loan of the car when I was in town for my uncle's funeral, I hope I remembered to gas it up before I brought it back. You've been a little quiet lately but the consensus is you STOMPED ON THE TERRA!We'll tell your stories to those that didn't know you.Peace out.

  4. Don Woody, Memphis, TN says

Although I didn't know David as a young man, I share the inconsolable sense of grief and loss at the news of his passing. David graciously welcomed me into his life and I was immediately aware that he was a man of tremendous intellect and bold opinions. He was a true Renaissance man who seemed strangely out of place in this over-hyped, over-done modern world. He was a Un-Reconstructed American of the purest order and those who knew him will no doubt miss him terribly and will, in time, recall his memory with great admiration and joy.

  5. Donna woody, Trumann, ar says

David , it has been a week since your passing, a week since you left this world and a week since my world became forever changed. We first became friends when I was still in my teens and at the time I didn't realize how much a part of my life you would become. You were always there for me...always came when I needed you...and those times were many. We shared good times and bad times together, too many to count. So...it's been a week. I will miss everything about you, your smile, your laugh, your wit and your wisdom. You are gone from this world, but will remain in my heart forever. In the words of a great man and even greater friend, I will "endeavor to persevere".

He was a friend who will be missed by many. May he RIP with his family in Heaven. His smile and laugh will be a loss for all who had the pleasure to know Dave.

  19. Evan Woody, Memphis says

David was like family to me. He will forever be a role model to me, in the sense that he lived life by his own rules, and could care less about the rules of the "establishment". I can remember when I was little and first moved back to Trumann, my mom took me to visit David and he took me on a ride on one of his motorcycles. It is one of my earliest memories. I will miss him terribly. It is so hard to see one of my favorite people in the whole world go so abruptly. I wasn't done making memories with him yet, and I know all of the people lucky enough to have been in his circle of friends feel the same way. David was one of the brightest fixtures in this world, and the world is dimmer without that light. I know that you have found peace uncle Davey dearest...we all love you very dearly and you hold a very special place in my heart. Evan
