Kenneth Ira Dunman
May 5, 1945 - December 5, 2012

Mr. Kenneth Ira Dunman, 67, departed this life while walking with Jesus on Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro. Mr. Dunman was born Saturday, May 5, 1945 in Lunsford to the late Charles and Betty Sutterfield Dunman. Mr. Dunman was preceded in death by his parents. Ken grew up on a farm in Lunsford. He was an honor graduate of Lake City High School Class of 1963 and was recognized for his outstanding livestock showmanship. He attended Arkansas State College where he graduated with a bachelor of science degree in Agriculture Education. He taught Vocational Agriculture at Bay High School for many years where many of his students were recognized for their outstanding participation in the Buffalo Island Jr. Livestock Show. Ken not only participated in the Buffalo Island Jr. Livestock Show throughout High School and college, but as a chairman of the Swine Show for many years. During his career at then Mercantile Bank, he served on the Buffalo Island Jr. Livestock committee which was instrumental in moving the Spring Show to Jonesboro. He continued to be active with the students and his own sons in the livestock show until the mid 90
