Maxine Stewart Reeves
January 21, 1928 - January 5, 2013

Mrs. Maxine Stewart Reeves, of Harrisburg (Central Community), died Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro at the age of 84 years, 11 months, and 15 days. She was born Saturday, January 21, 1928 to the late George Thomas and Selma Reed Stewart in Bay, Ark. She was a housewife and member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church near Harrisburg. Mrs. Reeves was preceded in death by one grandson, seven brothers, four sisters and parents. She is survived by her husband, Charley Everett Reeves of the home, one daughter, Charlene Reeves Smith of Harrisburg, one son, Charles Wayne Reeves of Nathrop, CO.; one sister, Leila Katherine Battles of Elk Grove, CA., three brothers, George Thomas Stewart Jr., of Clarksville, AR Charles Dale Stewart of Scottsboro, AL., and Darrell Stewart of Ponca City, OK, four grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church on Highway 158 in the Central Community, with Rev. Gary Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Nettleton Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark., with Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Terry Peeler, Howard Hitt, Mark Beard, Grady McGuire, Roy Davidson, and Michael Clem. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 P.M. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Highway 158 in the Central Community near Harrisburg. Memorials may be made to the Gideon

    Aunt Maxine, although I didn't grow up around you I have very special memories of visits to your home. I remember Uncle Charley's pig, the outhouse, and your wonderful suppers.
