Lonnie Lee Timms, Sr.
July 15, 1947 - March 5, 2013

Mr. Lonnie Lee Timms, Sr., of Trumann, died Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Hometown Nursing Center in Trumann at the age of 65 years, 7 months and 18 days. He was born Tuesday, July 15, 1947 in Lake City, Ark., to the late John and Myrtle Eaton Timms and had recently moved to Trumann after spending 45 years in St. Louis. He was retired from Chrysler Corp in St. Louis after 32 years of service, a Army Veteran and served in the Vietnam War and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Timms was preceded in death by one son, Bradley Allen Timms, Sr. and his parents. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie I. Kirkland Timms of the home., one son, Lonnie Lee (Janene) Timms, Jr., of Bonne Terre, MO: one daughter Christy (Arron)Null of Desota, MO; two brothers, Delbert Timms of Lake City, Ark., and Billy Timms of California; five sisters, Marie Carter of Paragould, Shirley Knatcal of Festus, MO, Patricia Winford, Brenda Stotts and Wanda Beaty all of Lake City, Ark., and 8 grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Larry Loggins officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be Thursday from 12 nonn to 1 P.M. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net.
