Mrs. Vera Ann Whitsell Davis of Jonesboro died on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at her home in Jonesboro, Ark. at the age of 56 years and 10 days. She was born, Sunday, May 5, 1957 in Jonesboro to the late Raymond and Mabel Blackshear Whitsell. Vera had lived most of her lifetime in Jonesboro and was formerly of Lake City. Mrs. Davis was a sales representative with Terminix and a member of Bethabara Baptist Church in Lake City. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Douglas

    Doug and boys, I have started to write this several times. I am so sad for you all, but I know that Vera loved God and is at peace. I have known Vera for year (30+). She helped me numerous times with flower selections at Faughts. My dad is a close friend of Mitchell Faught. He remembers her fondly and too is saddened at her passing. Words that come to my mind when I think of her are caring, generous, loving, talented, couragous, to name a few. She will be missed. My prayers are with you all during this time.     I was saddened to hear of Vera's death. I became friends with her at Walnut St. Baptist Church many years ago. She and I always tried to beat each other sending Christmas cards out to one another after I moved from there. She won most of the time since I usually got mine the day after Thanksgiving. I will lift you all up in prayer.
