Stephen Douglas Cupp

Mr. Stephen Douglas Cupp of Jonesboro died Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark., at the age of 65 years, 5 months and 15 days. He was born Monday, December 5, 1949 in Turrell, Ark., and lived in the Jonesboro and Trumann area most of his lifetime. He was a retired construction worker, a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Vietnam War, and of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Amie Cupp; one brother Dickey Cupp; his father, Henry Cupp; and his step-father, Charles E. Gandy. He is survived by two sons, Shannon Cupp of Missouri and Aaron Cupp of Arkadelphia, Ark; his mother, Phyllis Gandy of Trumann, Ark; one brother, Jimmy Don Cupp of Rockford, Ill; and two sisters, Vickie Shipley of Marion, Ark., and Colleen Armstrong of Jonesboro, Ark. 4 grandchildren, Jessica, Della, Deana and Bryce Cupp. Funeral service will be Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Bro. Bill Maxwell and Bro. Michael Willard officiating. Burial will follow in Marked Tree Cemetery in Marked Tree, Ark. Pallbearers will be Derrick Smith, Tommy Holmes, Josh Shipley, Greg Armstrong, Chase Armstrong and Mason Armstrong. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Kiddy, Chris Kiddy and Gary May. Visitation will be Saturday from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home. An online guest book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net.
