September 27, 1966 - August 21, 2015

Mr. Rodney Darrell Sims died Friday, August 21, 2015 at Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR., at the age of 48 years, 10 months and 25 days. Mr. Sims was born Tuesday, September 27, 1966 in Jonesboro, Ark., to Diana Kay Earnhart Sims and the late Lonnie Darrell Sims and had lived most of his lifetime in Trumann. Rodney was a technician for Mashburn's R.V. Center in Jonesboro and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Sims was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Darrell Sims and his grandparents. He is survived by his mother, Diana Kay Earnhart Sims of Trumann; one son, Keiron Darrell Sims of Jonesboro. Funeral services will be Saturday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, with Rev. Bobby Brooks and Del Hannon officiating. Burial will follow in the Willis Cemetery near Harrisburg, AR Visitation will be Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until l:30 p.m. An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfunealhome.net.

    Sorry for your loss. I worked with "Hot Rod" several years and we had some good times together. This deeply saddens me. I remember his Red 63 Impala & Yellow Chevelle. I'm sure he's Hot Rodding now.
