Billy Ray Collett of Trumann passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at the age of 83 years, 3 months and 29 days. He was born Monday, January 18, 1943 to the late Willie and Katie Collett. Bill brought laughter and joked a lot. He was a devoted husband and father and loved to fish and hunt. He was a farmer he worked for many, many years like that. He was preceded in his death by one sister, two brothers, Bob Collett and Roy Collett, and his parents. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Carolyn Collett of the home; four sons, Jimmy (Kerrie) Collett of Harrah, OK, Marvin Collett of Oklahoma, Timothy Collett of Trumann, Scott Matthews of Hafer; three daughters, Kathy Brown of Trumann, Carlin Maddox of Bay, Charlotte Collett of Harrah, OK; three brothers, James “Bud” Collet, Sr. of Corning, William Collett of Ravenden and troy Collett of Batesville; 22 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 21st from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at Calvary Pentecostal Church 801 Smith Ave. Trumann. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11:30 am with Rev. Ricky Forbis officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Brandon Collett, Brian Smith, Steven Smith, Anthony Smith, Justin Collett, Cory Collett, Jacob Collett and Jamie Ford. Special thanks to our caregiver Krystal Parrish who has gone over and above caring for Bill. Lasting memorials can be made to Calvary Pentecostal Church.     Bill will forever be missed and never forgotten. He was a very special man who never made anyone feel less. He was so loved by so many. Michael and I will forever be grateful to have had him in our lives.
