Catherine "Cathy" Burton

Catherine “Cathy” Burton of Trumann departed this life Sunday, April 12th in Jonesboro, AR at St. Bernards Medical Center at the age of 71. She was born in Trumann on Monday, January 17, 1955 to the late Jesse Everett and Lorene Mae Sturkie Haynes and lived most of her lifetime in Trumann. She was a 1973 graduate of Trumann High School, a homemaker and of the Christian faith. She was preceded in death by one sister, Carol McClung and her parents. She is survived by five sons, Brandon (Jeri) Smith of Bentonville, AR, Justin (Andrea) Smith of Trumann, Derek (Heather) Smith of Trumann, Patrick Burton of Fayetteville, AR and Preston (Tristin) Burton of Springdale, AR; three brothers, Ronnie Haynes of Marietta, GA, Roger Haynes and Ricky Haynes of Jonesboro and 6 grandchildren, Jordan Whitfield, Taylor Rushing, Seth Smith, Carson Smith, Garrett Stotts and Jackson Stotts. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 to 6:00 at Thompson Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Bro. James Strait officiating.
