Gerald Hunt

Bobby Gerald Hunt of Trumann, AR departed this life Friday, March 27th at Flo and Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro at the age of 85 years, 2 months and 5 days. He was born January 22, 1941, in Caraway to the late Howard Jackson and Fannie Virginia (McHalffey) Hunt. Gerald was a lifetime resident of Trumann and worked for Singer for many years and then as a maintenance worker for Parker Hannifin and was a veteran of the United States Army. He attended Maple Grove Baptist Church in Trumann. His biggest passion was to fish. Gardening, taking care of his yard, and his grandchildren was what he lived for. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy and an infant daughter, Brandi Michelle Hunt; grandson, TeJaye Ryan Moye; his parents, and one sister, Wanda Hunt and one brother, Jerry Hunt. He is survived by one daughter, Cindy (Aaron) Wood of Trumann; one granddaughter, Cecilia Ann Moye and 5 great grandchildren, Milo Moye, Milee Moye, Hazel Lyons, Foriest Lyons and Zailyn Lyons. The family will receive friends Monday from 12:30 to 1:30 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home. A celebration of life will follow at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Darrel Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Nettleton Cemetery in Jonesboro. Active pallbearers will be Aaron Wood, Lee Ballard, Rusty Jones, Ron Qualls, Jeff Whitlatch and Stan Craag.
