Rosemary Richardson
June 29, 1943 - March 17, 2026

Rosemary Ballard Richardson of Trumann went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas at the age of 82 years, 8 months, and 17 days. She was born Tuesday, June 29, 1943, in Tyronza to the late Harold and Opal Lewis Worley. She lived most of her lifetime in Trumann and was a member of First General Baptist Church. After graduating Trumann High in 1961, she attended cosmetology school and became a licensed beautician and instructor. A businesswoman, she owned Ballard’s beauty shop and was co-owner of Ballard’s Flowers, where she worked alongside her first husband until his death in 2002. She worked hard all her life and was proud to serve the community as a beautician and florist for over 45 years, until her retirement in 2023. During her retirement she enjoyed going to the Goodwill and other local thrift shops. She loved her family and was always helping people. Rosemary knew almost everybody in Trumann. If she didn’t know you personally, after a conversation with you, you would find out she knew one of your family members for years, either as a customer or as a childhood friend. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bobby Ballard, Sr., her second husband, Eugene Richardson; her son, Bobby “Beau” Ballard, Jr.; her parents; two brothers, Joe and Thomas Worley; and her sister Ann Hatfield. She is survived by two granddaughters, Lexie (Marc) Jarrett of Harrisburg, AR and Anna Claire Ballard of Bradenton, FL; great-granddaughter, Addi Jarrett; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. The family will receive friends Friday, March 20th, from 5:00 P.M.—6:00 P.M. at First General Baptist Church, 15765 Promised Land Ln N, Trumann, AR 72472. From then on when I was out doing errands, I would run into from time to time. We would talk like we knew each other our whole lives. I will always remember her brite smile .
