Jackson Ishmael
March 9, 1983 - February 20, 2026

Kyle Jackson Ishmael of Jonesboro departed this life Friday, February 20, 2026 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR at the age of 42 years, 11 months and 11 days. He was born Wednesday, March 9, 1983 in Jonesboro, AR and lived in the Jonesboro area his entire lifetime. Jackson was a 2001 graduate of Westside High School and of the Christian faith. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Kee Construction of Jonesboro. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, coaching basketball and supporting his children in their endeavors in theatre arts and team sports. He was an avid firework enthusiast bringing joy to many with his firework shows. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Sarah Popejoy and George “Jack” Popejoy. He leaves behind wife, Dianna Ishmael; and their two children, Emma and Luke, all of the home. He is also survived by his parents, Alvie Ishmael of Jonesboro and Nancy (Bart) Benson of Trumann; one brother, Micah Ishmael of Jonesboro; one sister, Robin Crawford of Brooksville, Florida; one stepbrother, Bo Benson of Trumann. The family will receive friends Saturday 12:30 to 1:30 at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. A celebration of life will follow at 1:30 P.M. in the chapel with Rev. Don Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, AR. Pallbearers will be Allen Brown, Ryan Lipscomb, Brenton Bush, Dewayne Glover, Shane Camp and James. A meal for family, friends and co-workers will be provided immediately following the burial at Harmony Gardens, 4517 E Parker Rd, Jonesboro, AR.     Nancy, Tom and I never met your son but I do know the hurt and how the terrible loss you feel losing your son and I know that feeling will be for a lifetime. I know God’s love and guidance will help get you through this difficult times and he will always have his loving hands on you and the rest of Jackson’s families especially you and his loving children. I lost my son in 1998 and life is hard but God will see you through and I know you will see him again when this life on earth is over and know that my heart goes out to you and God’s precious love will see you through , we are praying for you and Bart and the rest of Jackson’s families.
