Ronnie David Grimes
February 2, 1953 - November 21, 2025

Ronnie David Grimes of Trumann departed this life Friday at the family residence at the age of 72 years, 9 months and 19 days.  He was born Monday, February 2, 1953 in Trumann.  Ronnie was retired from the Trumann Country Club as a ground keeper and a member of Cornerstone Baptist in Harrisburg.  He was preceded in death by one sister, Donna Faye Grimes; one brother, Gayle Grimes; special nephew, Mark Grimes; special cousin, James Sutfin;  great-grandchildren; Hadleigh Elrod and William Clayton Collins and his parents, Leonard and Juanita Grimes       He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Shelia Grimes of the home; two sons, Shayne (Brandy) Grimes of Trumann, and Jacob ( Bethany) Elrod of Lake City; three daughters, Jennifer (Steve) Privett of Harrisburg, Amy (Billy) Williams of Trumann, and Angela (Michael) Stuht of Paragould; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and special cousin, Rita Sutfin.       The family will receive friends Monday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home.  A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:30 in the chapel with Revs. Ricky Dobbins and Jason Goad officiating.  Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery in Jonesboro.      Pallbearers will be Roger Haynes, Ricky Haynes, James Earl Haynes, Shayne Grimes, Shawn Blanchard, Donnie Stacy.  Honorary pallbearers are Steve Privett, Michael Stuht, Billy Williams, and Jacob Elrod.
