Norma Jean Cobb

Norma Jean Cobb of Jonesboro, departed this life Monday, May 19, 2025 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro at the age of 85 years, 5 months and 3 days. She was born December 16, 1939 in Harrisburg to the late Charles Erskin and Mary Kate Lindsay Parks. She was a retired seamstress and she loved sewing, gardening and growing her plants. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Walter Cobb; daughter, Peggy Jane Cobb; her parents; great-grandson, Colton Allen Whitman; and three brothers, Willie Carol, Charles Wayne, and Eddie Ray Parks.       She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Lacy of Jonesboro, Teresa Weaver of Pocahontas; two sons, Johnny Cobb of Goodlettsville, TN, Mark (Joey Wilson) Cobb of Memphis, TN; three sisters, Brenda (Jimmy) Williams of Marion, Carolyn Whitman of Pocahontas, Sharon Robinson of Brookland; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.       The family will receive friends Friday, May 23, 2025 from 12:30 to 1:30 P.M. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:30 with Bro. Andy Lacy officiating. Burial will follow at Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery in Harrisburg under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home.       Pallbearers are: Zachary Hampton, Zayden Hampton, Chaz Whitman, Jeremy Holmes, Jonathan Wood and Mathias Cobb.       An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net.
