Ronnie Gene Haynes
October 25, 1962 - April 22, 2025

Ronnie Gene Haynes of Trumann, Ark., departed this life on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at the age of 62 years, 5 months and 28 days.  Ronnie was born Thursday, October 25, 1962 in Wynne, AR and  lived in Trumann for 38 years.  He attended ASU and Lyon College, where he was a member of the TAU Kappa Epsilon fraternity.  He was employed by Federal Protection Company as a service and installation manager.  Mr. Haynes was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church.  He loved to hunt, cook, grill, and umpire baseball games.  He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ruby Jean Maddox Haynes.       He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Shannon McMickle Haynes of the home; one son, Sean Haynes of Jonesboro; one daughter, Johanna Haynes of St. Louis, MO; 3 nieces, 9 great-nieces and nephews, his hunting buddies in training. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. A Celebration of life will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Clint Haynes officiating. Committal will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, AR.       Active pallbearers will be Steven Anderson, Adam Farmer, Andy Tidwell, Derel Casteel, Jeff Eddy and Hugh Kleypas.     Ronnie was my friend. When I needed him he was there always. He had a heart as big as Texas. He loved Shannon and his kids. He also adopted kids all over thru baseball. Arkansas baseball was made a better place because of him. We all were blessed for knowing him, I know I was.

    Ronnie will be missed by so many! He wasn’t always the most talkative person in the room but, with me and Shannon together, he could hardly get a word in anyway. I’m so thankful to have known him and be a witness to the real rock solid marriage he and Shannon shared. My heart breaks for Shannon, Sean and Johanna but I know Ronnie is rejoicing in Heaven with our Lord and Savior.

    My heart goes out to all of you. This is just so unreal to me. He was always so nice and I will never get the time I was walking my dog Maverick and Ronnie was out in the yard. Well a lady was driving by and she stopped to tell us there was a snake in yals ditch aka front yard and he looks at me and says ok Alescia come over here and kill it I said nope I have to hold my dog he said I will hold your dog. I said Ronnie man I love ya but I'm scared to death. He killed for us lol. I will miss him so and I love you all
