Bobby Gene White
November 12, 1933 - June 30, 2023

Bobby Gene White of Trumann, departed this life on Friday, June 30th at the Flo and Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro at the age of 89 years, 7 months and 18 days.  Mr. White was born Sunday, November 12, 1933 in Louisville, Miss., and had lived in Trumann for the past 60 years.  He was a supervisor for Massy-Fergusonin Payneway for many years; veteran of the United State Army having served during the Korean War and a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church.  He is preceded in death by five sisters, four brothers and was the son of the late Tennie W. “T.W.” and Pearl Bateman White. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Norma Whitlatch White of the home; two sons, Gary Van White and wife Tracy and Gregory Dale White and Laura Cook both of Trumann; four grandchildren, Colby Van White, Morgan Elizabeth White, Cain Whitlatch White and Will Ryan White. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Maple Grove Baptist Church near Trumann. A Celebration of life will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the church with Rev. Jim Duffel and Rev. Kim Bridges officiating and eulogy by Morgan White. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Jonesboro under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home. Active Pallbearers will be Kenny White, Doug Trenthem, Ryan Richardson, Nick Richardson, Colby White, Cain White and Will Ryan White. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Maple Grove Baptist Church and his Sunday School Class. Lasting memorial may be made to Maple Grove Baptist Church, 13509 Maple Grove Lane, Trumann, AR  72472. An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net.

    I just found out tonight. I am saddened to here of Bob passing. I remember when I bought our home 28 years ago next to Granny Bessie. All of you were so kind to us and I got to know all of you.
