Eva Irene Rouse
March 20, 1936 - June 15, 2023

Eva Irene Rouse departed this life Thursday June 15th in Gideon, MO at the age of 87 years, 2 months and 26 days.   She was born Friday, March 20, 1936 in Tishomingo, Mississippi to the late Charles Oneal and Voica Mildred Taylor Thorn and lived most of her lifetime in Trumann before moving to Missouri 15 years ago.  Irene was retired from the State of Arkansas and was the former church secretary for Pleasant Valley Baptist Church for many years.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Ed Rouse; one grandson, Brandon Dewayne Rouse, one sister, and her parents.       She is survived by two daughters, Sharon (James) Ealey of Malden, MO and Rhonda Irene Hollis of Tulsa, OK; three sons, Larry (Angela) Rouse of Henderson, KY, Eddie Rouse of Bernie, MO and Gaylon Rouse of Clarkton, MO,  one brother, Dexter Thorn; 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren..        The family will receive friends on Monday, June 19th from 12:30  -  1:30 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, AR.  A Celebration of Life will follow in the chapel at 1:30 with Rev. Larry Loggins officiating.  Burial will follow in Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery in Harrisburg, AR.         Pallbearers will be Gaylon Rouse, Doug Rouse, Dillon Rouse, Shane Brimingham, Brad Ealey, Dexter Thorn, Micheal Thorn and Mark Chinn.      In compliance with COVID-19 guidelines, a mask or other facial covering is optional.       Online guest book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net
