February 16, 1958 - April 18, 2023

Natalie Suzanne “Susie"  “The Wine Lady” Thomas of Trumann, AR, departed this life on Tuesday, April 18th at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro at the age of 65 years, 2 months and 2 days. She was born in Jonesboro and lived most of her lifetime in Trumann.  Susie’s hobby was working at Payless Liquor where she loved being there and keeping the store stocked. Susie was of the Baptist faith.  She was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Ronald  Baxter; and her parents, Earl and Rhonda Mattix Baxter.       She is survived by her husband of 33 years,  Danny David Thomas, Jr. of the home; two sons, Joshua Baxter and Drew (Morgan) Thomas both of Trumann; and sister-in-law Charlotte Baxter of Marked Tree.          The family will receive friends Thursday, April 20th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Thompson Funeral Home.  A Celebration of Life will be Friday at 1:30 pm at Thompson Funeral Home with  Rev. John Dillinger officiating.  Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery in Jonesboro, AR.          In compliance with COVID-19 restrictions, face masks or other facial covering and social distancing is optional.     Susie was an amazing lady. Always had a smile and really loved her customers. Adele and I would go to Payless on Saturdays even if we didn't need anything just to say hi and visit a few minutes.
