Christine Delores Speakman
January 2, 1950 - August 8, 2022

Mrs. Christine Delores Speakman of Trumann departed this life on Monday, August 8, 2022 at the family residence at the age of 72 years, 7 months, 6 days.  She was born in Jonesboro and had lived most of her lifetime in Trumann. Mrs. Speakman was a retired librarian for Trumann Public Library and obtained a BA in Law, an MA in Political Science and an MPA in Public Administration.   She loved her dog Heidi and cared about rescue dogs. Her favorite flowers were her roses.  Her past time was spent  reading, shopping on QVC and  gardening.  Mrs. Speakman was  preceded in death by one sister, two brothers and her mother, Sylvia Pewitt and her father and step-mother, Thomas Weslie and Norma Jean Fowler Norwood.       She is survived by two daughters, Stephanie (Leroy) Goodwin of Trumann and Carrie Birmingham of Jonesboro; two sons, Eric (Jennifer) Speakman of Trumann and Jayson Speakman of Alabama; one sister, Teri Norwood of  Jonesboro and eight grandchildren.       The family will receive friends Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be at 2:30 p.m. at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro.  Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
