Marvin Louis "Shorty" Vaughn
August 4, 1932 - May 14, 2022

Marvin Louis “Shorty” Vaughn of Trumann departed this life Saturday, May 14, 2022 at the family residence at the age of 89 years, 9 months and 10 days.  He was born Thursday, August 4, 1932 in Senath, Mo to the late Troy and Bertha Johnson Vaughn.  He was a retired factory worker, living in Trumann for the past 59 years coming from Senath and a member of the Providence Baptist Church.  Mr. Vaughn was preceded in death by his first wife, Flora Mae Vaughn, his granddaughter, Madison Vaughn, two bros., L.C. and Billy Wayne Vaughn and his parents.      He is survived by his wife, Shirley Vaughn of the home; three daughters, Virginia (Durrell) Newell and Amanda (Ellis) Eaton both of Trumann and Lisa (Henry) Oswald of Jonesboro; two sons, Terry (Cindy) Vaughn of Hornersville, MO., and Jeff Vaughn of Trumann; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.  Celebration of life will be Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Brooks officiating.   Committal service will be Thursday at 12:00 noon at Senath Cemetery in Senath, MO       Active pallbearers will be Jimmy Dye II, D.J. Newell, Dylan Newell, Micah Newell, Max Ruiz and Ricky Oswald.  Honorary pallbearers will be men of Providence Baptist Church.      In compliance with COVID-19 guidelines, a mask or other facial covering is optional and social distancing will be observed.      An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net
