Lucille E. Dobbins
February 9, 1931 - February 11, 2022

Mrs. Lucille E. Dobbins of Trumann departed this life on Friday, February 11, 2022 at St. Elizabeth’s Place in Jonesboro at the age of 91 years and 2 days.  She was born Monday, February 9, 1931 in Harrisburg, AR and was a lifetime resident of the Trumann area.  She was a cafeteria worker for the Trumann School System and retired after 32 years of service and was a member of the Viva Drive Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Dobbins; her granddaughter, Wendy Conway; two brothers, Bobby Pippinger and Marvin Lee Pippinger; two sisters, Willie Joe McGirr and Annie Peo and was the daughter of the late Harry Lee and Alma Hunt Pippinger. She is survived by one daughter, Diane Moss of Trumann; two sons, Ricky Dobbins and wife Kay and Robert Dobbins and wife Doris both of Trumann; one brother, Danny Pippinger and wife Donna of Trumann; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 13th from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, Ark. A celebration of life will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Dobbins and Joe Spangler officiating.   Committal service will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, AR.   Pallbearers will be Richard Dobbins, Dan Wilson, Josh Foster, Terry Dobbins, Mark Dobbins, Derek Pippinger, Dalton Cole and Quinton Fletcher. In compliance with Covid-19 guidelines, a mask or other facial covering is optional.   An online register book can be signed at www. thompsonfuneralhome.net

    This was my bonus Mom. I will love you until we meet again. I will miss my visits, when I am there from Alabama, to your house and looking out the side window. We would laugh, talk and she would catch up on the family. You have left your earthly body, but have received your spirital body that will live for eternity.     Diane, Ricky, Robert & all the family - I am so sad to read if your mom's passing. Lucille was one of the kindest, sweetest ladies I ever knew. She had presented with a gentle demeanor, but she also possessed great inner strength as well as faith. Her love for LeRoy and you kids was tremendous. She always want good for you. When Proverbs 31 comes to mind, I believe many of those desirable traits were possessed by your mom. God bless you all as you lay her to rest. I can't help but think her final wish for you all would be that she would "meet you in the morning" before God's throne.
