Frances Whitaker
March 14, 1944 - January 13, 2022

Kay Frances Whitaker, of Trumann departed this life on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR, at the age of 77 years, 9 Months and 30 days.   She was born Tuesday, March 14, 1944 in Double Springs, Alabama and had lived in Trumann for the past 59 years.  Mrs. Whitaker was a former employee of the Arkansas Area on Agency and a member of the Providence Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by two sisters, one brother and her parents, Jasper and Lessie Tidwell Parrish.       She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Boyce Whitaker of the home; two daughters, Annetta Lynn (Frank) Reece of Minor Hill, Tenn., and Deborah Jean (Wes) Phillips of Bay; two sons, Barry Allen Whitaker of Harrisburg and Michael Ray (Tammy) Whitaker of Dover, Arkansas; one sister, Ann Ray of Mountain View, Ark.;  six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.       The family will receive friends on Monday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church, 904 Swaney Street in Trumann. A celebration of life will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Bobby Brooks officiating.  Burial will be at Bolivar Cemetery near Harrisburg, Ark., under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann.       Pallbearers will be Mack Hundley, Sam Whitaker, Lonnie Whitaker, Donnie Whitaker, Aaron Clairday and Jak Clairday       In compliance with COVID-19 restrictions, face masks or other facial covering and social distancing is recommended.      An online guest book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net
