Mrs. Jewel Smith Rouse of Trumann departed this life on Friday, May 1, 2020 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR at the age of 85 years, 5 months and 22 days.  Mrs. Rouse was born Friday, November 9, 1934 in Lepanto and lived most of her life in Trumann.  She was a housewife and of the Baptist faith.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Rouse, one daughter, Barbara Ann Rouse, 2 sisters, 3 brothers and her parents, Wiley and Clara Evans Smith. She is survived by three sons, Larry Rouse of Chester, VA, Jimmy Rouse and wife Sandra of Trumann and Kenneth Rouse and wife Teresa of Harrisburg, AR; two brothers, Edward Smith and James Hassell both of Houston, TX; ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. In compliance with health and public safety directives, the funeral arrangements for Mrs. Jewel Rouse will be private on Monday with Rev. Ricky Dobbins officiating.  Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery near Harrisburg, AR under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann.     Jewel & I had been friends for 44 years.We enjoyed sharing our Grandkids, Great Grandkids, AND, our most recent GREAT,GREAT, GRANDBABY.
