Mr. Jimmy Derrell Banks of Blytheville departed this life on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at the family residence in Blytheville, AR at the age of 69 years, 7 months and 14 days.  He was born Thursday, April 6, 1950 in Harrisburg, AR and lived in Blytheville and was formally of Trumann.  He was a veteran of U.S. Army serving in the Vietnam Era, he retired from Cyro-Evonik in Osceola and was a member of First Baptist Church of Blytheville.  He was preceded in death by one daughter, Koneissa Banks; two sisters, Shelby Burns and Rhonda McGuire, one brother John T Banks and his parents, John F. and Lura M. Davis Banks.       He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Carolyn Taylor Banks; one son, Chatley Banks of Mountain Home, AR; a special son, Scruffy Doodle Banks; four sisters, Christine Roach of Mountain Home, AR, Linda Vaughn of Gulfport, MS, Fair Rouse of Trumann, AR and Catherine Brown of Jonesboro, AR.       Visitation will be Saturday from 12:00 noon to 1:30 at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, Ark.  A celebration of his life will follow at 1:30 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Jim Swinford officiating.  Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park in Jonesboro, AR.      Pallbearers will be Shannon Rouse, Greg Rouse, Tyler Brown, Don Clifton, Justin Terry, and Danny Askew.  Honorary pallbearers will be Phillip Brown, Wade Brown, and Ronnie Taylor.       An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net.
