Leroy Dobbins
July 9, 1922 - July 3, 2019

     Mr. Leroy Dobbins, 96, of Trumann departed this life on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at  the family residence in Trumann at the age of 96 years, 11 months and 24 days.  He was born Sunday, July 9, 1922 in  Vernon, AL and had lived most of his lifetime in Trumann. He was an Army veteran of WWII, a retired welder for RGB, an avid fisherman, and a member of Viva Drive Church of Christ.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, Sam Dobbins, and Ellis Dobbins; two sisters, Opal Pippinger and Lucy Cox; one grandchild, Wendy Conway Profit and his parents, Ed and Matille Stevens Dobbins. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Lucille Pippinger Dobbins, two sons, Ricky Dobbins and wife Kay of Trumann and Robert Dobbins and wife Doris of Trumann; one daughter, Dianne Moss and husband Jr of Trumann; 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.  Funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Dobbins and Joe Spangler officiating.  Graveside service will be Monday morning at 11:00 a.m. in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, AR. Pallbearers will be Richard Dobbins, Mark Dobbins, Terry Dobbins, Josh Foster, Dan Wilson, Donnie Pippinger, and Ronnie Pippinger.  Honorary pallbearers will be RGB employees and Quenton Fletcher.
