Mrs. Alice Smith Angel was born on Wednesday, February 26, 1913, daughter of the late William Levi Sr. and Sarah Elizabeth Gulliams Smith. She died Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at the family residence at the age of 94 years 2 months and 6 days. Mrs. Angel was born in Walnut Ridge, Ark., and had lived in Trumann since 1972 and was formerly of Phoenix, Ariz. She was a housewife and member of the Central Baptist Church. Mrs. Angel was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Angel; a son, Ralph Edward Angel Sr., one grandson, Darrell McCulley, 4 sisters, 7 brothers and her parents. Survivors include a daughter, Charlotte McCulley of Lake City and Theodore Smith of Jonesboro; 8 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren and 11 Great-Great-Gandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 7th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Bill Maxwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark. Pallbearers will be Steve Deutschman, Troy McCulley, John Musto, Leif McCulley, Tod Honey and Chuck Wimberly. Honorary pallbearers will be men of Central Baptist Church. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 3 to 5 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.
