Sister Opal, you and Bro. Marvin mean so much to me. When I talk about my time spent in McCormick I have to include you and your family. I have known all of you for so many years and have great respect for you and your family. You are a part of my past,(when I was only around 4 & 5 years old) I will never forget and I will never forget the kind, gentle and loving man that Bro. Marvin was.

  2. Melanie Pagan, Arkansas says

Im writing this in rememberance of my Papaw, Marvin. This weekend I said "see you later" to a man who was "one of the greatest men of all time." He wasn't just an great dad, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, christian, and human being. He was a legend. I got one of the greatest responsibilities to build a slideshow of his lifetime. I know that I have had one of God's angels in my life for 27 years. Honestly words can't express how deeply touched he did influence my life and what he left behind instilled in me will never be lost. My grandmother was married to him for 62 years and what a wonderful inspiration that they left for us to follow. My grandparents never walked away from one another, when times got tough they leaned on one another, he never left her side, and he always made sure his children were in church. God may take away one of his angels in your life but he never leaves you. God never fails. He always comforts his children. My grandfather's memory will never be buried, it will forever be lived by his children and grandchildren. Thank you to everyone who prayed for our family. Please continue to remember my grandmother in your prayers.. she has lost her best friend but we both know that its not forever.. one day she will be rejoined with him.
