    Our families have ties that go backsince the 1940's. Charles's fatherwas our mailman. Daddy and he wereabout the same age and had chats atthe mailbox many times throughouteach year. I taught some of thechildren, and Kemp is my dentist.Eddie and I used the family laundryon Speedway when we were firstmarried. The community willmiss Mr. Childs grealy.

    My thoughts are with you all during this difficult time. As you know, I thought a lot of Charles. He was my school teacher for one year, and after I was grown, I came to know him as a friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.
