June 24, 1941 - November 18, 2008

Mr. Billy Joe Wiley was born on Tuesday, June 24, 1941 son of the late Dallas Polk and Jennie Clara Baker Wiley. Mr. Wiley died Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro Ark., at the age of 67 years 4 months and 25 days. He was born in Athens, Alabama and had lived most of his lifetime in Trumann. Mr. Wiley was a welding supervisor for Roach Mfg., in Trumann and a member of the Refuge General Baptist Church in Lake City. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Wiley Fisher, one grandson, Jonathan Adam Wiley, two sisters and his parents. Suvivors include his wife of 49 years, Earlene Gann Wiley of the home; two daughters, Laquitta (David) Nelson of Lake City and Gail (Kenneth) Ross of Trumann; one sister, Doris Payne of West Memphis, Ark., four brothers, Buddy Wiley of Augusta, Ga., Gilbert Wiley of Trumann, Kenneth Wiley and Mike Wiley both of Jonesboro; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Celebration of Life will be Friday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, with Rev. Larry Ward officiating. Michael Spray will honor Bill with a special music request. Burial will follow in the Willis Cemetery near Harrisburg, Ark. Pallbearers will be Carl Whitt, Jimmy Bishop, Larry Bishop, Joe Cooksey, Sonny Parrish and Barry Woods. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill

    I was so sorry to hear about Bill. I remember coming to your house when I was young. I came over to see Phyllis. We would ride on the propane tank and believe it was a horse. I sure miss Phyllis.
