  3. Kimberly Hogan-Randall, Trumann says

Mrs. Vivian, as we called her, was a part of our "family" for decades. She was always feisty yet loving with a down to earth personality, a wit that never failed to make me giggle, and a laugh that I still hear even now. The first thing that comes to mind when I think of her are the incredible gardens she created each year. Being kids, my brothers, cousins and I drove her crazy by constantly making noise, fighting with each other and disturbing her beloved puppy. As I grew older, we grew closer. She took me under her wing and often looked out for me. When my mom let me get my ears pierced, she was excited and gave me a few pairs of beautiful earrings. She was thoughtful and often gave me little trinkets letting me know she cared. I remember many Mother's Day's when we surprised her by showing up at her church. The church would recognize the youngest and oldest mothers in the congregation and I always enjoyed being there and seeing her recognized. She always seemed to get a kick out of us being there. To us, she was always family--always our grandmother. Here now with tears flowing I know what she'd say in her elegant southern accent... "Well, Kimberly, don't you dare be sad for me." She was always one with God and there was no doubt where she would spend eternity. Mrs. Vivian was the epitome of southern class and I loved her.
